Job Summary
The Managing Director of Mshel Media leads the overall direction and growth of the company.
This position involves guiding the team, shaping the organization’s strategy, and ensuring the media arm delivers creative and compliant content.
The Managing Director (MD) plays a key role in building the brand, expanding the company’s reach, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners.
To succeed in this role, the person must show strong leadership skills, creativity, and a solid background in the media industry.
A deep understanding of advertising laws is also important.
Since Mshel Media operates under strict regulatory guidelines, the ideal candidate must be ARCON certified and experienced in managing media, advertising, or creative teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clear leadership and long-term direction for Mshel Media.
- Create and execute business plans, growth strategies, and yearly budgets.
- Oversee day-to-day activities, team performance, and ongoing projects.
- Supervise all broadcasting activities such as live shows, news programs, interviews, and recorded content.
- Have experience in news presentation and be able to anchor news when required, while keeping high standards of professionalism.
- Approve news scripts, reports, headlines, and all broadcast materials.
- Encourage new ideas in media production, digital advertising, and content creation.
- Ensure strict compliance with ARCON rules and media industry standards.
- Lead the production of high-quality content including videos, commercials, animations, documentaries, and brand storytelling.
- Introduce new advertising products, packages, and marketing solutions.
- Supervise the planning and execution of advertising campaigns for clients and for the company.
- Develop strategies that increase revenue from advertising, broadcasting, digital media, and content production.
- Manage production teams, editors, creative directors, and content planners.
- Approve creative concepts, scripts, storyboards, and campaign designs.
- Ensure all content reflects the client’s brand message and corporate identity.
- Identify new business opportunities and grow the company’s client base.
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Represent Mshel Media during negotiations, meetings, and presentations.
- Prepare proposals, pitch decks, and pricing plans for new and existing clients.
- Protect and grow the public image of Mshel Media.
- Make sure all advertising materials follow ARCON regulations and ethical standards.
- Handle crisis communication and oversee public relations tasks.
- Study industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activities.
- Watch over the financial performance of the subsidiary and ensure steady profitability.
- Introduce operational policies and improve internal processes for better workflow.
- Send monthly performance updates to the Group Managing Director and the Board.
- Train, guide, and support members of the media and creative teams.
- Promote a work culture built on creativity, discipline, and excellence.
- Carry out staff assessments and arrange development programs that improve their skills.
- Perform any other duties that the Board considers necessary for the growth of the company.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Marketing, Film Production, Business Administration, or related fields.
- A master’s degree, especially an MBA or similar qualification, gives an additional advantage.
- ARCON certification is required.
- At least 7–10 years of senior-level experience in media production, advertising, creative leadership, or communication roles.
- A strong history of managing media teams and directing large campaigns.
- Experience working with media companies or creative studios is highly valuable.
